The Art of Gentrification in 4$tages:

...is a living allegory exploring the elements of gentrification through the principles of Fractal Art*, Martial Arts, Performance, Installation, Formalism, Ephemerality, Balance and Environmental Art. The work consists of materials that are salvaged from demolished homes/buildings, on the eastside of Buffalo, NY. These deconstructed elements of the neighborhood, are valuable symbols, and artifacts.

By placing these demolished artifacts in a kinetic performance, I intend to produce a dialogue which speaks to a complex narrative - of culture, purpose, resolve, and understanding.

This work is in perpetual growth. It will expand in it's symbolism and spatial footprint as time passes.

*There are spiralling levels of narrative and metaphor in the materials, the act, and the final installation/sculpture.
